Rather give out as usual, the JNB Foundation on Thursday, received a donation but of a different kind, from another local charity. Restoring Hope Foundation presented 40 boxes of foreign textbooks, all written in English-both American and European. Much of the materials appeared quite sophisticated and highly scientific-from modern strategic marketing & relationships, to “managing major sports events,” “medical law and ethics,” plus “research ethics in exercise, health and sports sciences,” among many others.
RHF boss, Mr. Maxon Kpakoi, making this donation at the JNB Foundation’s Rehab Headquarters, Paynesville, stressed his passion for education, and pointed out that he wants to see those books go to the schools in the country for children to read which would enhance their learning skills.
He observed the reason for which Liberians’ mindset isn’t changing is because “people aren’t reading and added that he has decided to encourage people to read and also stay in the classrooms and keep learning. Mr. Kpakoi was accompanied by five other staff from RHF.
RHF solicited the books from a university abroad to give them away and urged the JNB Foundation assistant executive director, Mr. Henry Flanpor to distribute them to universities and colleges here that might need them;
