Hundreds of kids rushed to President Boakai’s Rehab charity to collect gifts

At least about a few hundred more children gathered at President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s Rehab charity headquarters on New Year’s Day, collecting gifts plus goodies that included stuffed animals. This happened soon after the charity’s New Year’s party hosted mainly for kids withing Rehab Community ended.

Many kids from the community flocked at the compound’s gate and waited patiently to be served. They came running in after other kids spread news that they had participated in the charity’s year-end-party and received gifts including toys and stuffed animals. Thankfully there were still enough children’s gifts to go around.

Nine-year-old little Justice, who raced across Rehab, the community in which current President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. and his predecessor, Mr. George Weah live, to get a gift told this writer he had seen new toys with other kids from his community and after he asked, they told him to go to the foundation.

Justice was blessed and collected similar number of gifts as the first group of children who attended the party. Within moments Justice was back on his old bike headed home to his parents.

JNB Foundation staffers, though appearing quite exhausted still remained patient, organizing the kids in an orderly way so they could get their Season’s gifts, perhaps the only gifts some may receive this New Year’s Season.
